I’ve just got home from taking my wife to hospital. Today is the day when the surgeons will remove the 1.9cm grade 2 cancer from her left breast. Hopefully the rest of the exploratory surgery will show that the cancer hasn’t spread any further than just this one tumour and she will make a full recovery. It’s hard to think of anything else at this stage which is the main reason why my postings here have been few and far between of late. Somehow the world of MotoGp doesn’t seem quite so important at the moment.
I have been heartened and gratified by the messages of support and encouragement from so many people, friends who we know face to face and others who only exist in the ethereal world of the internet and I assure you that these messages have been greatly appreciated.
In some exciting news, it seems there is a possibility that my good internet friend, Edwin Haazer, from southern California, MIGHT be heading “down under” to compete at either the Island Classic in January or the support races for the WSBK in February. I am encouraging him to do the Classic as he will get a lot more track time there, but it would be such a buzz to meet him and to thank him personally for the wonderful support that he has given, and is continuing to give to the Shadowfax project.
Here’s Edwin on his own bike at Reno-Fernly Raceway in Reno, Nevada.

Thanks, mate, good news, too. Helena just rang, the doctor is pleased and only had to take one lymph node, that means the cancer is contained and hasn’t spread.
