During my recent holiday to South Australia I added many locations that I have to go back and visit again. And I added a road or two that I have to revisit on the bike as well.
Principal among these is a road between Bright in northern Victoria and the Keiwa Valley Highway. It’s called the Towonga Gap and it’s about 30 kms long. It climbs up out of Bright to the top of a mountain, from which there is the most amazing view, then plunges back down to sea level again. It’s tight, technical and windy; in fact just the sort of road that we love.
If you ever get down that way, put it on your “must ride” list.
I’m planning on riding it in late November on a group ride with my local motorcycle forum.
