A long time ago I published an article on eating on the road (no, not like that!). A precis of my experiences of touring and where to eat and where not to, it drew a very good response, especially amongst many of my friends who tend to ride the same roads I did.
Well, I publish below a link to a much more detailed and well-researched article that has been published by my good friend and fellow muso, Elwyn Jordan. Elwyn asked his many friends and those who follow his blog to contribute their suggestions of places to eat while touring and, typical of everything that he does, the results are comprehensive and well worth a look. If you enjoy the article I encourage you to contact Elwyn and leave some positive feedback for him.
Where to eat, by Elwyn Jordan and friends.
Overnight Misano proved a lot and proved a little. It proved that Lorenzo will still be a threat, especially with the new gearbox. It proved that, out in front, he can be imperious. It proved that, despite now being equal 2nd in the title hunt with Dani (but ahead because of a greater number of wins), the overall situation hasn’t changed greatly. Marquez rode a canny race to not risk his championship lead, banked another 20 points and stretched his lead to 34 points with 5 rounds to go. It also proved that Rossi is a spent force. Despite having the same bike as Lorenzo and qualifying on the front row, he was no match for Lorenzo or the two Hondas finishing 15 seconds down in 4th place.
Moto2 saw Redding struggle and Espargaro eat away at his points lead. The momentum is with the Spaniard, but a points lead is still a valuable commodity and the championship is Redding’s to lose.
Moto3 also shows that the momentum is shifting in favour of Alex Rins and that Maverick Vinales is still in a hole of his own making. There is no shortage of talent there, but his racecraft is letting him down. Goodness knows what it will be like in 2014 when he and Salom are team-mates in Moto2!
More to come, busy, busy. Ride safe.

Lorenzo is a world champion & a very talented racer but for some reason he seems to me to be unlikeable. The different colored left & right gloves & boots …whats that all about btw? maybe it’s his ‘style’ but to me it looks ridiculous.
He snotty attitude at interviews just make me turn off the TV….anyway that’s just my opinion!
When he won last two races there was no excitement even the commentators were more focused on MM & rightly so .
Geez i wish Stoner would come back, maybe now he’s quit the V8’s it might be a possibility …can only hope!

In some ways I agree, Joe. I never did like him in his 250 days, a very dirty rider who got himself banned once for serving up a fellow competitor. I still don’t really like him as a person, I think he’s boring. But I do respect his racing and his ride at Silverstone was probably the best I’ve ever seen from him.
