Along with the irrepressible Dave Quinn, Resident of Anarchy Row and Lord of the Fourth Dimension, I spent the day today in Canberra watching a photo shoot of the Shadowfax Kawasaki by Jason Adams, from Used and Classic Bike Enthusiasts magazine. After our stunning success in the Show and Shine at the BSFoS in March, editor of the above magazine, Jeff Ware, promised us a feature article in UCBE and this is the first step in the process.
Dave provided the venue, a large, semi-enclosed car port at his parent’s home in Canberra and he also polished and detailed the old girl to within an inch of her life, delivered the bike to the venue, helped manoeuver the bike to many different positions during the day then took it home at the end. As usual, I couldn’t have done it without you, mate, thanks heaps.
A white drop sheet strung from the roof stays of the carport provided the essential neutral background and the above photo is the first “teaser” of what the rest of the hundreds of photos that Jason took today will look like.
Look out for the full feature article in an upcoming issue of UCBE. Oh, and get the current one (just out) for a preview. In the article on the BSFoS there are several photos of the bike and also a picture of a very disreputable pair of lads holding a couple of trophies!
Sorry I haven’t updated much lately, I will improve, promise.
BIG congratulations to Damian Cudlin for winning the Doha 8 Hour Endurance Race at Losail yesterday and his brother Alex for finishing 4th in the Superstock class and taking back the lead in that championship. Top boys, the Cudlins!

Looks great , Phil. You should be very proud of your effort in restoring that bike. Oh- and you are forgiven for your slack postings of late!!! (almost as as slack as our promised visit- we WILL get there!!) Jeff

Yeah, funny, isn’t it? The more time you have the less things you seem to get done. See you and Bernie soon, mate.

Yeah, it’s stunning when you do it like that, isn’t it? The “white sheet” background really makes it stand out. Thanks for the props, mate, it really was a great team effort. UCBE are saying on their FB page that it’s going to be in the ext issue (in about a month’s time) Can’t wait.
