Just sitting down recovering from arthroscopic surgery on my knee. Felt OK till I got home and then the nausea hit and I decorated the front lawn a little. But I’ve had a snooze already and I’m feeling a lot better. I’m guessing that there’s still quite a bit of the anaesthetic in my system because the knee doesn’t feel sore. And I’m guessing that, once it wears off, I’ll be hollering for some pain-killers.
Next week is the last one of term and I won’t take any work unless I feel outstandingly better, so, once school goes back in 3 weeks I should be right on top of things.
They do take a lot of care to make sure the operate on the right part of your body, though. :):)
The nurse said that sometimes they do “X marks the spot”, and sometimes they do the arrow. Pretty funny, I thought.
NEWSFLASH: It looks like 15 only bikes on the grid again at Assen tomorrow night. Marco Melandri has had a big “off” in the second practice session and has been taken to the medical centre with a badly dislocated shoulder.

Has the Morphine worn off yet M8? Knee ops can take a while to heal especially if a Physiotherapist is a bit heavy handed.
Good idea they marked the spot ,it would be a bummer if they operated on the wrong leg & it does happen!
Anyways get well soon & back on the bike.

Yes, mate. The drugs kept me going through the night, I actually slept really well. Not in much pain at all today, just stumbling around a bit and keeping it moving like the doc advised. Looking forward to being completely mobile and back on the bike, that’s for sure. Thanks for the support.
