Great trip to Canberra yesterday. Thanks to my brother, Paul, who came with me and helped load/unload and watch over the precious cargo on the way. A big thank you to the excellent Paul Campbell of Redback Racepaint in Fyshwick ACT for his thorough and professional panel beating job. Lots of nice stuff, like replacing both mirrors with new ones even though only the l/h side one was damaged.
Trouble-free trip till about a kilometre from home when I noticed that I could see more of the side of the bike than what I had been able to see before. Strange. Stopped and got out to look and one of Paul’s tie-downs had failed (fortunately the one holding the back in place). We were so close to home that we just straightened the bike up and tootled home.
I don’t think my dear wife is going to let me ride tomorrow (Public Holiday); muttering something about my knee or something like that. But she goes back to work on Tuesday, so……
To say that I am chuffed would be to understate things somewhat.

Black Beauty looks like it’s been beautifully detailed & repaired not a scratch in sight.
Don’t sneak out to ride it though.[ wives always find out…lol] Just tell the misses you need to take it for a short spin to circulate the oil & charge the battery up…hehe.
Nice bike mate.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don’t intend to do any serious riding until the knee is fixed later this month. Sure is great to have a bike in the garage, though! Thanks for the support and the good wishes.

Healing well. Once I get this surgery done on my knee on the 25th it should all be good. Look forward to catching up with you and Berie in the holidays. Regards to the family.
