As you know I have the availability of 4 days in the middle of January and it’s obvious that it should be spent on the bike, but the problem is, in which direction should I go?
The clear favourite is north, following the warmer weather and seeking out the twisties on the north coast. But I’ve done the Oxley 3 times this year (not that there’s anything wrong with THAT) and I was wondering if a change in direction might be in order.
So I’m thinking maybe the Snowies or Victoria. Both are blessed with bountiful riding roads, and have the added benefit that the weather could be a little cooler and the traffic a little less frantic.
I’ve got till the 18th to decide so I guess I have some time to ponder.

The Great Ocean Road is great to ride but being tourist season might be a little crowded.I like the area around Mt Beauty ,did a Triumph rally there many years ago & it was a blast.
Just watch out for the boys in blue down there, they just love to book motorcyclists for going 2-3k’s over the limit.
Safe riding

Yeah, the over-officious Victorian police is one of the reasons why Victoria is not as attractive as a venue.
