Greetings from sunny Queensland, although it’s ten at night so it’s not sunny at the moment. I’m up here for WordCamp, a 2-day conference of internet geeks who use and develop applications for the WordPress platform. WordPress is the software package that I use to create and maintain this blog site.
I was concerned that I’d be a fish out of water here with a heap of high-powered developers and users who will be talking a language that I don’t understand, but I have been assured that I won’t be as there will be lots of people here who know lots less about WordPress than I do. I certainly hope so.
In MotoGp news, Casey Stoner leads FP1 and the session was wet. Pedrosa was 2nd, then the Ducati pair of Rossi and Hayden. They were followed by Loris Capirossi who will be wearing Marco Simoncelli’s #58 on his bike instead of his usual #65. As I said yesterday, Marc Marquez will not be competing on medical grounds handing the Moto2 title to rival, Stefan Bradl.
Alvaro Bautista has announced that he will be announcing his future on Sunday, neither adding or subtracting from the uncertainty concerning Suzuki in MotoGp. It also seems that former TechIII rider, James Ellison will be present at Valencia along with Paul Bird (former boss of the Kawasaki WSBK team). Quite what that means will become clear, we hope.
Finally, a brilliant little cartoon that I hope will brighten your day.
