I am a very contented boy tonight. My lovely wife who has been overseas visiting her vast horde of relatives in Finland for the last 6 weeks, arrived back in Sydney this morning. Life is now worth living again. Incidentally, while I was in the airport carpark I saw this…
A lot of time, effort and money has gone in to getting this beauty looking like it does today, I’d say. And I’d also say that he’s pretty brave leaving it in a public car park in Sydney with no apparent signs of any sort of security.
Anyway, tomorrow I have to head to Canberra again, but this time it’s not for pleasure. I have to attend the funeral of a wonderful old friend who passed away last week, aged 87. Tibor Binder was a Hungarian by birth who fled the Hungarian Revolution in the mid-1950’s to Czechoslovakia and thence to Australia. A writer, talented artist and devoted Bible student, Tibor was a giant of a man packed into a tiny, frail body. His like will not pass this way again.
This weekend the MotoGp circus descends upon Brno, in Tibor’s adopted Czech Republic. As usual the MotoGp web site has published the stats ahead of the weekend’s racing and you can follow the link to them below.
