……Britain can have 2! world Championship events, that is.
It was announced today that Donington Park, dropped from the WSBK schedule after their unsuccessful flirtation with F1, would host a second round of the prestigious championship from next year for the next 3 years. Since the venue has hosted a round of the championship ever since there was one, this is great news.
The date is likely to be the last weekend in March. Having 2 rounds of the championship is certainly a sign of how highly Britain is regarded by the Flammini organisation and should serve to raise even more the profile in Britain of the “working man’s championship”
