My doctor’s appointment went well (although having to sit in my wheelchair waiting for over an hour was pretty damn poor.) The usual rollicking about bikes continued throughout (“You know, I don’t see that level of injuries amongst lawn bowlers”) kind of thing. But, overall, he’s happy with the progress and said that, if I continue to maintain a positive outlook, I should be ready to go back to work by Easter..
Easter??? Pfffft. Day 1 Term 1 is my goal. Watch this space.
On the family front, we’re going through a tough patch. My 83 year old mother-in-law was re-admitted to hospital yesterday in the final stages of renal failure. She’s been more of a mum to me than my own mother and it’s so hard to watch her just slip away. At least she’s heavily sedated and in no pain.
On the bike front, the claim is in, I just have to supply a couple of extra bits of documentation and it will all be sweet.
One of my favourite racers, Chris Vermeulen, has left his home in Spain and travelled to the North of England to visit the Paul Bird Motorsports HQ and see the new Zx10-R. This from Chris’s Facebook page.
“Chris Vermeulen: I have just been to Paul Bird Motorsport workshop in the north of the UK to see Birdy and the guys, bikes are looking good! I can’t wait to throw my leg over it in January!”
