MotoGP circus moves back Stateside this weekend for what could be the last meeting at the historic IMS.
Let’s hope it’s not like this this year!
Jorge Lorenzo heads into Indy with a 77 point lead in the Championship, looking all the way a winner for 2010. In fact, Lorenzo could fail to win another race this season and still win the title by racking up some good placings in and around the podium. Not that that is going to happen.
OneHD will be broadcasting Qualifying from 0350-0530 on Sunday morning, yes, you read correctly, and the races on Monday morning from 0430-0600. Get an eaely night, you’re going to need one.
In other MotoGP news, the pressure is mounting already ahead of the 2012 overhaul with word out of Europe this morning that Aprilia is planning a serious assault on the class using the existing team infrastructure from Jorge Martinez’s outfit. This is supposed to be preparatory to a full factory assault in 2013. Quite how Aspar is feeling about having his team being used for a year and then beingdiscarded is not clear, though I guess when money talks nobody criticises its accent.
