Illawarra Motoring Museum is holding their Open Day this Sunday (13th June) at their headquarters, Darkes Road West Dapto. Displays by various local motoring/motorcycling groups will be on show and two very special guests will be in attendance.
Sir Jack Brabham and his wife will be the guests of honour along with Ron Taraunac (the “T” in the Brabham cars’ “BT” prefix).
If there’s any way you can make it down to Wollongong to see it, I’m sure it will be well worth a look. The last time I met “Black Jack” was in the pits at Warwick Farm in January 1967, so I hope to be able to say hello again.
