I had a call from the insurers today asking where the bike was, followed by a call from the assessors to say that they’ll be looking at the bike as soon as they can. Both seemed confident that things will be fine, and my repairer informs me that the only major part that will need to be bought is a l/h top fairing piece. Will probably have to source a 2nd hand bit for that because, even though Honda does supply the part new (still) the price is prohibitive. Apart from that a mirror, clutch lever, bar end and possibly a gear lever should see it out. Paul is confident he can fix the rest.
At this rate, the bike looks like being ready before I am.
