Normally I wouldn’t be commenting on matters in any way connected to Harley Davidson, and in this case I’m not either. But, after being thoroughly shafted by H-D late last year, Erik Buell has taken it on the chin and last week, at Daytona, he introduced his new bike. Now the terms of Buell’s contract with H-D specifies that he is not allowed to produce road-going motorcycles (how about THAT for restraint of trade?) so this is a race-only model.
You can read all about the new bike here. I wish Erik luck. He has been one of the true innovators of the industry and while we may not all appreciate the bikes that he has built, we can appreciate his engineering and his honesty in sticking with his ideals.
