It’s Euro-show time and the model releases are coming thick and fast. Most significantly, we await (well, I await) with bated breath, for 2100 tomorrow night when the details of the new VFR will be officially announced. From a dealer in Canada (and, yes, I know that dealers can’t be trusted), the following.
3 V4 models coming
one replaces the Blackbird – will be 1200cc, will be the most powerful version, ~165HP
one replaces the ST1300 – will be 1200cc, the most ‘loaded’ version, HP, somewhere between the 145 – 165HP
one replaces the VFR800 – will be GET THIS…1000cc, marginally heavier, 145 HP.
1st one out will be the Blackbird replacement 1200F (Oct 8 unveiling), 2nd one the 1200T, and LASTLY the VFR1000 unveiled in spring 2010…
I’m personally skeptical about the VFR replacement having a smaller engine. It makes no sense for Honda to tool up a whole new engine line and split it into two configurations straight away. Anyway, we shall see.
We might also see THIS..
or this..
or even this…
Kawasaki have already been busy, releasing details of the new Z1000 (actuall, 1043)
new ZX10R
and this, the new ZX14 in touring guise.
It seems, for Kawasaki at least, black is the new black.
Honda does appear to be striking out on their own a bit, with this, the 2010 CBR600RR.
It would seem that, as long as you have the money, you won’t be disappointed in 2010’s new offerings.
