Thank God the funeral is over. What a harrowing day. Nevertheless it was good to be there and to show support and compasson to the family.
I’ve started making up a short list of potential bikes to buy and it’s looking reasonably promising. All of them are from ebay or bikesales ads so I don’t even know if they are still available or not, so it’ll be some time on the phone tomorrow to clarify availability.
After buying a new blue helmet to match the BlueBayou, the majority of bikes that I am looking at are red. You just can’t win, can you?
It’s been a tough week. I’m glad it’s Friday and there’s two days to catch up and recover.
If you want some interesting reading, do some study on the subject of why calendars in every civilised countries and workplace arrangements there, make allowances for workers to have at least one day of rest in the working week. During the French Revolution, and after the Russian Revolution, attempts were made to re-jig the calendar to eliminate Sunday as the day of rest on anti-religious grounds.
These attempts were abject failures. A fascinating piece of trivia.
