Today was a MotoStars Training Day at Kembla Grange go-kart track and, as well as the Cudlin brothers, Damian and Alex, being on hand to help the kids, there was also another WEC luminary, Broc Parkes. Now the name will be familiar to you due to Broc’s long career in BSB, WSS and WSBK. These days he is a member of YART, the second Yamaha team in the WEC.
Broc and I go back a fair way as the following will show. Broc was a 15 year old youngster and part of Tony Hatton’s junior riding academy when I first met him. When they had their first race on a proper, full-sized circuit, it was at Wakefield Park in 1997 and I was the commentator that weekend.
So today I had the opportunity to catch up with him and he graciously obliged when I asked him for an interview. Without further ado, then, here is Broc, live and in person in a very frank and fascinating interview which I know you will enjoy.
