Last weekend the Piaggio Group finally released the much-anticipated RSV4-based Tuono. A naked bike with superbike performance, this iteration of the famous name look set to duplicate and even exceed the success of its illustrious forebears. With 167 bhp and sensible ergonomics, this is the “Thinking man’s superbike” and I can see Aprila shifting shiploads of them in the future. Some have criticised the looks, but that’s a subjective thing, and, anyway, I like it, so there. As Dan Gurney once famously said, “If it goes fast, it will look good.”
What’s not to like? (maybe the price, that’s all – Australian RRP’s not yet announced, but it won’t be cheap)
