Great news in overnight that Castrol has returned to WSBK after many years’ absence, as the major sponsor of the Ten Kate team, Honda’s de facto “works” team in the championship.
Castrol won 2 WSBK titles with John Kocinski (RC45 Honda – 1997) and Colin Edwards (Honda VTR1000SP2/RC51 – 2002), many regarding the 2002 season as one of the greatest WSBK seasons ever.
Castrol replaces Hanspree and the Ten Kate bikes WILL look a treat in their “retro” colour scheme. Bring it on.
Closer to home, I’m about to leave for my first physio session, but, this morning, I took 4 steps across the bedroom floor and duplicated the feat in the kitchen a little later, all without crutches and without hanging on to any support. AND, without any pain. We are getting there.

Phil,
Nice to see CASTROL back.
Looking at that bike, it just shows how ridiclous the current bikes are.
Stupid little tail on the bike ( for the passenger) They just look so unbalanced.
All heavy up the front end of the bike, and nothing in the back section.
Why dont they just stop the body work 60mm behind the riders back side and be done with it. ?
Good to hear you are recovering bit by bit.
All the best from cold , wet, and snowy Shanghai

Yes, they are unbalanced, aren’t they?

Good job on the walking, Phil. With any luck, you just might beat my grandaughter to walking unassisted! (Hee Hee)

Smart, Blackie. Yeah, I am feeling pretty smug, actually. And the physio guy said I can keep doing it, too!
