Yes, I know this has nothing to do with motorcycling, but, hey, can’t we have some comic relief from time to time?
In two wheel news, Lucas Pesek has been sacked by his Moto2 team because his (lack of ) results, “undermines the ability of the team to renew key agreements by the end of the season and for the foreseeable future.” In other words, he’s a dud. However, since he’s a (presumably) blank Czech and one of the team’s major sponsors come from the Czech Republic as well, this does seem like a puzzling way to keep your sponsors happy. No word on a replacement.
Still no word on where JB will be next year, but paddock gossip is saying that Rossi WILL take his whole crew with him to Ducati next year. Opinion is also firming that Yamaha WILL play hard-ball and not allow Rossi to test the Ducati before his contract officially expires on December 31.
And Alex de Angelis, the third rider involved in the fatal Tomizawa accident, has revealed that he has seriously considered quitting the sport in the aftermath of the event. You could hardly blame him.
