Valentino Rossi and teammate Jorge Lorenzo both tested at the new Aragon circuit yesterday. Due to the testing ban, they both rode R1’s but both said that they thought the track would be fun with T16 being a real challenge. Honda’s Andrea Dovizioso and Hiroshi Aoyama also tested and gave the circuit the “thumbs up”
MotoGP will debut their next weekend and it seems everyone is excited about the prospect, not the least of them being the Spanish Motorcycle Federation who get to have FOUR MotoGP events in Spain this year…um, how does THAT work?
If and when the new circuit in Hungary is completed, the Aragon circuit will drop back to reserve status next year.
Scott Redding, who was involved in the horrific Tomizawa crash last weekend and suffered injuries himself, is reportedly looking forward to racing at Aragon. They’re tough, aren’t they?
