Reports out of Italy this morning suggest that the Team Scot Moto2 team which has been running Nicola Caneppa and San Marino native, Alex de Angelis, may be sitting out the Brno round of the MotoGP World Championship and PROBABLY the rest of the year due to financial difficulties. This was the team that took Hiroshi Aoyama to his 250cc World Championship last year. If it’s true, it will be a shame. It certainly shows how the GFC is biting overseas.
In an embarrassing PR blunder, Yamaha has had to issue recall notices for over 54000 R6 models sold in the USA when it was found that the front reflectors (those tacky things affixed to the front forks in some O/S markets) were mounted an INCH too low to satisfy the American DOT standards. Questions will be asked in the factory, no doubt.
And spy pictures have been released of the oft-rumoured, seldom-seen MV Agusta F3 prototype. A 675cc triple (I wonder where they got THAT idea from?), it is hoped that the model will bring MV some levearge in the “normal” bike market.
