It’s been a pretty difficult weekend, what with various visits to hospitals and nursing homes. But, the Supers are on soon. I can’t wait. The British press is, of course, touting Crutchlow’s Superpole performance (.7 sec off MotoGP pole time, good for 5th on the grid in the MotoGP race. They are conveniently ignoring that the time was set on qualifiers that the MotoGp bikes are not allowed to use.) Hopefully, for him, he will actually DO something with the grid position tonight as he has shown himself to be an excellent qualifier and, at best, a journeyman racer.
And here’s some gossip for you, fresh from our roving reporter in the paddock.
1. Crutchlow to TechIII in 2011 to replace Spies. (He will sink without a trace.)
2. Xaus and Haga to retire at the end of the season (I predicted the Haga one)
3. Haslam to Suzuki MotoGP to replace a retiring Capirossi. (Dumb move of the season. The uncompetitive blue lump has ruined or stunted the career of every rider to throw a leg over it..bye, bye, Leon)
4. Checa to Xerox Ducati to replace Haga. (Good move; though he’s old, he’s still the best Ducati rider in the pack. He may as well finish his career in the “works” team).

I think Crutchlow must have read your blog Phil & said ‘i’ll show him who’s a journeyman racer’….LOL

Uncompetitive ” BLUE LUMPS”.
Phil, you forgot ” UNCOMPETITIVE GREEN LUMPS” as well.
The bikes from Hamamatsu and Akashi sure finish off the careers of many an aspiring racer…
