A colleague on one of the forums I inhabit had a photographer’s pass for the last weekend’s WSBK round at Las Vegas. He has published the best of his results on his web site. If you’d like some fabulous photographs for your wallpaper, check them out. I’m using the Chris Vermuelen shot on my screen at the moment.
On another subject, Valentino Rossi’s crash in practice at Mugello yesterday could have some far-reaching repercussions. Apart from the fact that this will mark the first time since he started Grand Prix racing in 1996 that he has missed a race, the operation to pin and clean the wound (exposed fracture of the tibia) will keep him in rehab and on crutches for at least 6 weeks, according to Dr Costa. Of course, riders have proven doctors wrong before today so don’t take that as gospel. But with the British GP on the 20th June, the Dutch TT on the 26th and the Catalan GP on the 4th July, Rossi’s injury couldn’t have come at a worse time.

Nice close ups of the bikes ,very sharp on that link.
Shame about Rossi’s crash he looked to be in a lot of pain. Hopefully the lower leg break will heal without complications.
I wonder where we could send him a ‘get well’ e card?

Dunno where the rest of this comment got to.
What I meant to say was that Rossi now has his own website, though I don’t know where it is. If you can hunt it down you could probably send a “Get Well” there. Yeah, they are pretty cool pics. I bet Jorge is thinking that all of his birthdays have come at once!
