“Our” Troy has just clinched his 3rd World Superbike crown. He has raced a total of 150 races in the WSBK, and has won 50 races and 3 titles. All three titles have been won on Ducatis, but on 3 different models, the 916, the 999 and the 1098.

Unsurprisingly, the fact that the series has been run by various Italian companies over the years, the regulations that have always favoured the 2 cylinder bikes have seen Ducati riders win the majority of the individual titles and Ducati itself win the majority of the Manufacturers Titles.
And congratulations are also in order for Andrew Pitt, who, at Magny Cours, clinched his 2nd World Supersport Championship.
So Australians own both titles this year. How good are we?
